Last summer, I entered an art contest sponsored by the Capernum First Century Village in Weatherford, Texas. The contest was to illustrate a scene from the book of Revelation in the Bible. I decided to draw the dragon (or beast) described as having seven heads and 10 horns, with each head wearing a crown.

They called today, and I placed third. Here’s the oil pastel drawing I submitted. I love dragons — dragons are awesome!

Update: About 10 days after the call, I got a nice certificate and a check for the $150 prize for my third place entry. I love it when the postman delivers checks!
