A few months ago, I went to Oklahoma for an audition. It was my first trip there. Everyone was very nice.
Unfortunately, the place where we filmed isn’t there anymore. The building was one of the ones damaged by the tornadoes yesterday.
That makes me sad. You don’t think about buildings, and bridges, and big trees just being destroyed. It seems like they’ll always be there, and you can go back someday and tell people, “When I was a kid, I filmed a movie scene right there.”
So if you are reading this, and you have some extra money, please consider sending it to The Salvation Army or the Red Cross. They are helping the families in Oklahoma after their houses and cars and lives have been ruined.
And don’t forget the animals who are homeless, injured, or lost.
When I work on a film or TV show or commercial, the money I earn goes into a “Coogan Trust” (a bank account I can’t touch until I grow up), but I earn $5 a week feeding and watering the dogs, and I get money for my birthday and stuff. So I didn’t have a lot of money, but I sent what I had. I hope a lot of other people will, too.
TORNADO AID: You can make a 10 dollar donation via text message to the Red Cross by texting REDCROSS to 90999.
Well done Cameron, I’m proud of your attitude and so are many others 🙂
Thank you very much!
Thanks, Grandpa. Now if I just had a cell phone…
