This Sunday, February 10, I am going to be juggling in the Bishop Arts District while the crowds are getting ready for the annual Mardi Gras Parade. Here are all the details about the parade: http://www.pegasusnews.com/events/2013/feb/10/296004/
Bishop Arts is part of Oak Cliff, on West Davis Street. Jesse Patterson is going to be performing with her hula hoops, and there will be other street performers, too. We’ll be performing before the parade starts at 4:30, and then staying for the parade.
There will be about 10,000 people there for the parade, and all the streets around the area are closed off. So plan to get their early and park at Methodist Hospital, and then walk to the festival.
I’ve juggled at events in the Bishop Arts District before, and it is a lot of fun. Everybody is very nice, and they have a really good time. But I’ve never been to a Mardi Gras parade before. I can’t wait!
People wear masks for Mardi Gras, but I don’t think I will wear one. It might make it harder to juggle. But I will probably wear jewels or face paint. I haven’t picked a costume yet.
